Neicy introduced herself to me as a bride who was planning her wedding reception at a Pinstripes bowling alley in Barrington IL. I let her know that I’d be happy to see her walk down the aisle and then walk down the lane.
They started their wedding day getting ready at the Raddison in Rockford. The climax of the morning was when the bride and groom got to see each other for the first time. Hearing her say you look so handsome, you knew she was excited for the day. From their they came appon a quaint little Episcopal church in Belvidere where they had their ceremony. The bride walked down the aisle with her dad to the sounds of the grand organ playing “hear comes the bride.” During the wedding ceremony, the minister related how the couple could have Skyped the wedding but it was those there personally in attendance who made the ceremony more personal. they both got caught up in the emotion, and had to pause as they recited their wedding vows. Later after several games of bocca having their pictures taken and intermingling with friends, they when up to the banquet room for their first dance and a toasts by the best telling how as a kid the groom wanted to be the love doctor when he grew up. It was a special day for the two of them and they now feel like they are part of a family.
