Jax has learned how to crawl and almost how to stand on his own. He was all over the studio when his parents brought him over. He liked to come and crawl on top of my camera.

Dan and Teresa wed on Saturday. Now that the rush of Christmas is done, it’s time to look at new years resolutions. One of those is to get album suggestions done in a quicker time frame. In July I had 2 weddings with albums approved and delivered within 5 weeks of the wedding. It’s the […]

Buster and Barkley wanted to go anywhere but where they were told. But after I waited them out and they learned their environment, they were more willing to stay in one place.

The family comes together

When Janelle came in with her family she let me know that it had been 19 years since their last family portrait. They had worn the photographer out. So even with a large group, it wasn’t hard to get them organized and looking good together.

Parents will dress up their kids for holiday parties and then because they look so cute, bring them in for pictures. We took both full length and close ups. The color of her eyes just pops with the other colors in the portrait.

There are times when parents send their kids off to college and they then become empty nesters. After a while they can start to miss them. So when Kristen and Stephanie came home for Christmas break they scheduled a portrait.

Under the falls

Jenny and Chris wed at Anderson Gardens this week. It was neat to see how much fall color they had planted into the gardens that you would have thought would be all Japanese. There were more burning bushes than I would have expected. Their reception was then at the new Franchescos. If you haven’t been […]

Coming back after the wedding

Andrea and Scott got married a few years ago. I always tell clients the honeymoon lasts until your first child is born. Then when their first child is born they can come back and the first session is on me. You can see the rest of their photos here.

A little about Scott

20 years ago I would start my Saturdays watching This Old House before heading out for that days wedding. I grew up in a 90 year old house and as the oldest of 3 sons, I often got in on little fix-it projects. And while tinkering with little projects can be fun, it was nowhere near the scope that Tom Richard, and Roger took on.

A little over a year ago when the wind chill hit -45 degrees, we moved from Northern IL to Newburgh for milder winters and lower taxes. My wife got a job offer to work at Deaconess Hospital. When we were looking for our next house, we (well I) wanted the full remodeling experience. We were both supportive of each others dreams and desires in this next stage of our lives. In the past year we added a bedroom and bath as I took on Norm Abram's roll. My 3 kids have all loved swinging the sledge hammer even when it was a little heavy for them... Read more about me here
